The apple has a rich and diverse history in Wyoming and it played an important role for people making their way west through the Homestead Act to claim land. In turn it provided food for their family and a source of income via sales at the local markets. Apples were even used for home cleaning products, cider production and livestock feed.

Pamphlets were compiled from information as far back as the Early-1880s to late-1930s. This includes heritage apples identified surviving from 19th and early 20th century plantings, past homesteads & orchards who grew apples, nurseries that sold stock, the apple trees they grew and recommendations made by city (e.g. via Wyoming Apple Project) and elevation/NW (e.g. via EFFB & WGB)

Pamphlets below cover; Buffalo/Kaycee, Casper/Glenrock, Cheyenne/Laramie, Douglas/Wheatland, Lander/Pavillion, Powell/Basin and Sheridan/Big Horn. Including additional information for surrounding cities/towns.
